Button Avenue was manifest from the knowledge that seemingly minute changes can be transformational; it’s all in the inspired details. HDF.LA lead the rebranding of Button Avenue, a bespoke button company that sources and sells artisinal vintage inspired buttons that are sustainably made.
Challenges
To communicate the founder’s enthusiasm and passion for bespoke buttons as transformational in an elevated and stylish approach
To inspire DIY’ers to alter pieces in their wardrobe as an act of expression
To build an e-comm platform, with a comprehensive approach showcasing the many collections of Button Avenue that highlights the transformative effect of accessorizing with artisinal buttons, with only one model in a one day shoot
To curate and manage a tightly knit creative team that can execute and produce amazing work in a small amount of time across pre and post production
To work within a minimal budget and tight turn around on both the campaign content and site redesign
Solution
We identified and named a series of four “Personas” to showcase Button Avenue’s featured Fall collections. A model was cast as the official Muse. She was styled according to each persona with wardrobe that had been altered and embellished with the strategic addition of a suite of Buttons. The brand needed a complete redesign of their web site for information graphics, clearer messaging, improved UX/UI, Fall campaign complete with a digital look book, before and after details, and all new product (button) imagery.
